
Amish Friendship Bread
Do not use a metal spoon or bowl.
Do not refrigerate.
Day 1- do nothing.
Day 2,3,4,& 5 mush bag.
Day 6 add one cup of flour, one cup of sugar and one cup of milk to bag and
mush.
Day 7, 8, & 9 mush bag and let air out.
Day 10 add one cup flour, one cup sugar and one cup of milk to bag. Then stir
with a wooden spoon. Put (4) one cup starters into large Ziploc bags and give to
friends.
Put what is left into large bowl and combine with;
1 cup oil
1/2 cup milk
3 eggs
1 tsp. of vanilla
Mix well.
In a separate bowl mix:
2 cups flour
1 cup sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 large box instant vanilla pudding
2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
Add dry ingredients to wet mixture and mix thoroughly. Pour into 2 large well
greased loaf pans that have been coated with a sugar and cinnamon mixture.
Sprinkle extra cinnamon and sugar on top.
Bake at 325* for 1 hour.
