My Vintage Housewares Collection

This photo shows the display in our dining room on top of my old green cabinet.  Not everything here is vintage, but I display it all together.  The two washboards came from my mom - the paint splatter on the right one seems to match our wall color, but it was there long before she had it - the old canning jars came from my mother-in-law, the milk bottle and the stripped pitcher from a rummage sale the youth group was having a few years ago, the measuring cup, egg beater, brown pitcher and ladle came from my mother-in-law, the rolling pin was my great grandma's and the rest were eBay finds.

This display shows the top of our refrigerator.  The 7-Up bottle came from my mom, the milk glass "vase" (really it's a toothpick holder) came from my mother-in-law (the roses came from our garden), the bucket my great aunt decorated for me as a young child, the canisters were my great aunt's (I was named after her, too - just a little tidbit), and the canning jar came from my mother-in-law.  The wash basin on the wall came from my mom, I think it belonged to her dad.

This photo shows a better shot of the canisters on my refrigerator.  I have loved these since I was a child and they were in my mom's kitchen.
