Welcome to My
Country Garden. I am the first to admit I am not the best
gardener the world has ever seen (ok, so I'm not even close), but I do
love seeing what comes from a bit of time and effort playing in the
dirt.

I selected this poem to
add to my garden since the very first plants I planted were hens and
chickens in my grandmother's flowerbed. I now have a large pot
of them decorating our back porch that my daughters and I planted
together.
Hen and
Chickens
The "Hen" is in the' garden,
And the "Chickens" are there, too;
They've traveled far to get here,
Across the ocean blue.
Of course, they do no scratching,
The reason is they can't;
They're not like other chickens,
For they are just a plant.
