The Guest Room
Company's coming!  Bring their little stressed-out souls into your own bit of heaven.

Make the bed snug with fresh cotton sheets, a warm comforter, feather pillows and some cute pillow cases for the season.  Be sure to set a few extra blankets out just in case your guests get chilly in the night.

Fresh flowers have a way of saying welcome to our home.  Mums, marigolds, wild asters, rosehips or dahlias are perfect for an autumn welcome.

Bedside lamps, bottled water, clock, magazines and little books like A Short Guide to a Happy Life by Anna Quindlen are welcoming homey touches that look great nestled on a bedside table.

Leave an empty space in the closet and a few extra hangers.  Create a soothing bath basket by tucking in a few soft and thick bath towels and wash cloths (no one likes to go snooping to find these!) and some special soothing shower gel, bubble bath and lotion in a favorite fall scent...like vanilla brown sugar...yum!

Decorate with a basket of knitting, old toys, family photos and classic books.  Adding personal touches helps to welcome your guests into your home and make them feel welcome.
