The Legend of the Christmas Pickle

ne cold winter's eve two Spanish boys were traveling home from boarding school for the holidays. When they stopped at an inn for the night, the innkeeper, a mean and evil man, stuffed the boys into a pickle barrel. That evening, St. Nicholas stopped at the same inn, became aware of the boys' plight, tapped the pickle barrel with his staff, and the boys were magically freed.

So the legend goes that the Christmas pickle (an ornament) should be the very last one hung on the tree on Christmas Eve and whatever child finds the Christmas pickle on Christmas morning shall get an extra gift from St. Nicholas.

Would you like to hunt for the Christmas pickle?  Hidden within my Christmas pages you will find a small pickle graphic like this one.    When you find it (the one on this page is not it) click on it and you will be taken to a page where you can pick up a little certificate to display on your own website showing that you found the Christmas pickle.
