A Homemaker's Journal

I have found a wonderful old tradition that I would like to encourage you to share with your children (or any other younger family member) ... A Homemaker's Journal. The idea is simple enough, you purchase a plain undated spiral journal (the pages will stay in this better than a spiral notebook) and record homemaking tips and and tricks, funny or inspiring quotes, stories or poems, and special recipes, either new finds or treasured family heirlooms. Of course, you can personalize your homemaking journal however you wish, the possibilities are endless. Imagine what a treasure this will be for all of your descents for years to come. Most importantly, make it personal. Add tidbits about your daily life, menu plans for special (or even everyday) occasions. Don't forget to add your children's favorite recipes (getting some of their favorites from other family members would be a wonderful treat too!)
