Tips and Tidbits
This recipe
was given to me by my mother-in-law, Lola. If you're not
fond of soy sauce, you might want to cut back to 1/4 cup.
These egg rolls are great, much better than anything I've
found in the store! |

Egg Rolls
|
1 medium
head cabbage
2 medium onions
4 large carrots
3/4 pound chicken breast in 1/2" slices
3/4 pound sirloin steak in 1/2" slices |
2
packages egg roll wrappers
1/2 cup soy sauce
2 green peppers
1 tablespoon oil
3 cups oil for deep frying |
Shred carrots; chop cabbages, onion and bell peppers. Place in
large pot with enough water to cover vegetables; bring to a
boil Cook about 15 minutes. Drain all water off. Stir-fry meat
in tablespoon of oil. When done, add soy sauce; cook 5
minutes. Add to vegetables and stir well. Place mixture by
spoonfuls on egg roll wrappers. Fold according to package
directions. Deep fry until golden brown. |
