Tips and Tidbits
This
makes a very rich and luscious pie. If you are a fan of
warm pudding try making this recipe and forgetting about the
pie shell, it's like heaven! |

Cocoa
Crème Pie
|
1/2 cup baking
cocoa
1 1/4 cup sugar
1/3 cup cornstarch
1/4 teaspoon salt |
3 cups milk
3 tablespoons butter
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
9-inch prepared pie crust |
In
medium sauce pan, stir together the cocoa, sugar, cornstarch,
and salt. Gradually add milk, stirring until smooth. Cook over
medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture comes to a
boil; boil 1 minute. Remove from heat, stir in butter and
vanilla. Pour into prepared crust. Press plastic wrap directly
onto surface to prevent skin from forming. Cool to room
temperature. Refrigerate 6 to 8 hours to completely set.
