January Adoptions

  January Cards and Quilts

Welcome January

Ring out the old, ring in the new,
Ring, happy bells, across the snow;
The year is going, let him go;
Ring out the false, ring in the true.

     January is the starting point for many new things, and it's common practice to make new resolutions and goals for the upcoming year. So many people try to make up for the excesses of the holidays come January, and the month has become a catch all of the guilt of over-indulgence.  We are very blessed this year in that we did not have major excesses at Christmas.  We purchased fewer Christmas presents this year than in the past, but both of the girls were able to recieve things they truly enjoy.  We did not have a huge dinner for extended family, but we had a very nice dinner at home with those who are closest to us.  In all, the closing of 2009 was very nice and we were blessed with a white Chirstmas, the first Sydnee has ever seen.  With the coming of the new year, we will be adding a large new focus in our lives, we are purchasing a new home.  After months of searching through the real estate sites, we have found a home that will fit our needs.  There will be a lot going into this home, as it needs some repairs, a good cleaning and a lot paint.  We are not moving far (just a few blocks down the road) so we will still be in our wonderful neighborhood.  More will be added once we have some before and after photos to share.
